New Beginnings Referral

Young Persons Advocacy is for people aged 13 to 19 living in Birmingham who have a special educational need or disability and need support navigating the systems that shape their future. Whether that’s preparing for the transition out of education, working through an Education, Health and Care Plan, or simply making sure their voice is heard in decisions that affect them, an advocate can make a real difference at a critical time. Referrals can come from social workers, teachers, healthcare professionals, family members, or the young person themselves – and the process is straightforward. Advocacy Matters will work with the young person on a one-to-one, issue-based basis, helping them understand their rights and speak up with confidence.
