We aim to provide adults at risk with an independent advocate to ensure individuals are heard & their rights, concerns & needs are acted upon.

Meet the team!

Hello, I would like to introduce you to our  dedicated staff team. Advocacy Matters has 13  Independent Advocates and 35 highly trained Volunteer Advocates. We have an enthusiastic and energetic Development Worker who also supports our Volunteer Advocates.  Alongside our  CEO, Advocacy Matters has 3 Operations Managers that ensure all the work we do is of a high standard and that everything runs smoothly! Our Board of Trustees oversees all the work that is done and ensures it is within our charity’s objectives.

Advocacy Matters is a charity which has provided independent advocacy support in Birmingham and Walsall since 2002 .  We provide Independent Advocacy support to over 1000 adults at risk or whom require a service in Birmingham and Walsall every year.

Advocacy Matters provides both statutory and community-based advocacy projects. Advocates are independent of the Local Authority, NHS and other services. Advocacy from Advocacy Matters is free at the point of access for people who need to use our service.

We empower our advocacy partners, ensuring that they have a say in their lives and about the issues that matter to them.  Advocacy supports inclusion and social justice.
