World Alzheimer’s Month is the international campaign every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. September 2020 will mark the 9th World Alzheimer’s Month. The campaign was launched in 2012. World Alzheimer’s Day is on 21 September each year.

In World Alzheimer’s Month this year The Alzheimer’s society , are highlighting the importance of talking about dementia. They want to raise awareness of how it impacts the daily lives of people affected by the condition and challenge the stigma that surrounds it.

Being diagnosed with dementia is a very isolating experience. Everybody needs someone to talk to and someone to support them through their diagnosis. If you know someone who is living with a diagnosis of dementia who needs support or you have just been diagnosed and need help to ask the important questions about your life and future, an advocate can help.
