11th Community Inspiration Awards 2023- Joyce Wallace Advocacy Matters Development Worker

Posted on 13th September 2023

It’s been a very busy year so far, for Advocacy Matters Volunteers.

We were recently shortlisted for the 11th Community Inspiration Award – a regional charity that honours remarkable people, organisations in the public, community and business sector-nationally. Often unrecognised and without reward- like you our Volunteers.

126 people/organisations were shortlisted for 14 awards – from over a 1,000 nominations, countrywide.

We are delighted to say that at a black tie event last Friday, Advocacy Matters Volunteers beat out 9 other well deserved projects and individuals to win The Volunteer Award.

We were amazed and so surprised; as well as delighted to share the stage with our longstanding Vol Advocate , Nicki Busby, AM staff and Trustee and other dignitaries including Mayor West Mids Authority, Andy Street, and the Minister of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development, Andrew Mitchell MP.

We know it can be a challenge, but you make real difference to peoples lives. We wanted to share this with you, Volunteers passed and present and acknowledge our continued appreciation and that of the wider community.

Well Done!!!!
